This week we walked in the eucalypt forested slopes and hills of Toohey Forest. The heat is on so we started early - 6:30am - to beat it, but it caught us up. By 8:30 we gave up and returned to the picnic ground for morning tea under one of the many newly erected picnic shelters. The forest has plenty of wide pathways, but the bush is looking very dry. We passed a few dedicated walkers, joggers and cyclists on the tracks, and we still managed 7 kilometres all up. |
