Today we retraced the steps of that walk. This time it didn't rain and this time I was not the new kid on the block. We took my friend, Roberta who was visiting from the U.S.A., and though she was exhausted at the end of the day, she enjoyed it as much as we all did.

The drive up to O'Reilly's is a bit hair-raising on a narrow winding road, but the destination is well worth the trip. We began our trek (after a delicious picnic morning tea of lumberjack cake) on the Booyong Walk leading to the Tree Top Walk that took us over 9 swaying suspension bridges 20 metres above ground. Two observation decks have been constructed in a Strangler Fig above the walk way, the highest one being 30 metres above the ground. |
