Our walk this week was long enough to let our feet know they exist (just over 16 kilometres), but suburban enough to take time out for our tastebuds once in a while. We started early again due to the hot weather and followed Norman Creek, a small tributary of the Brisbane River, through the Tarragindi Recreation Reserve, Ekibin Park, Hanlon Park, past Stones Corner and on to Stanley Street where we refreshed ourselves with coffee and scones at the Secret Garden Cafe before retracing our steps to the car. |
After 16 kilometres, we were quite thirsty, so what better place to quench our thirst and catch a bite of lunch than at the Ship Inn on the South Bank. Ahhh, the joys of a suburban bush walk. |
