The climb to the top of Mount Haywood was tough, but we huffed and puffed our way up. A few hairy moments along the way included some path crossing with wild pigs and a few snakes, one of which was enjoying a lovely sleep on our narrow path, and didn’t seem too keen on moving. Our later research indicated it was a red-bellied black snake, which is quite venomous. As the path grew narrower and some parts overgrown we were a bit nervous. While resting at Mount Haywood a couple of mountain bikers overtook us. This track is difficult enough to walk. I don’t know how bike riders do it. |
Thank you my beautiful daughter for doing this hike with me and encouraging me all the way. I loved sharing this adventure with you.
