Proserpine Crocodile Safari - October 2020
With tourism curtailed due to border closures we decided to support another local Whitsunday business, which we had long heard fantastic reports about. Proserpine Crocodile Safari is a long standing business run by a local family. We were very impressed by the high quality of the tour - expertly run, friendly, humorous and professional staff, very informative, delicious food, and plenty of crocs!
The tour provides pick up from key locations and delivers you to a site on the Proserpine River where the company launches a boat to take you cruising in search of crocodiles. About 30 of us set off, and were at once enthralled by the depth of knowledge of our guide. We were very lucky to spot many crocs of various sizes. Some have been around for many years, others were but mere babies.

After our exciting trip on the river we feasted on a delicious lunch of freshly barbecued steak, barramundi, chicken and sausages with fresh salads, and a typical Australian dessert of lamingtons. The it was all aboard a train of open carriages through the scrub and wetlands.
