Today I ditched my usual bushwalking friends (actually, they ditched me due their busy schedules) and I joined a Logan City Council Community Bushwalk through Plunkett Regional Park. I found another friend to join me (thanks Penny) and off we went on a wonderful morning of discovery to another fascinating spot on our doorstep. |
The park has a number of habitat areas including dense and open eucalypt forests, shrubby and grassy areas, and densely vegetated gullies formed by rolling hills and sandstone outcrops. The Council is to be congratulated on the work they do in spreading information to the public and providing first hand experiences such as this walk. The wealth of knowledge of the walk leaders was impressive and opened my eyes to a whole myriad of new wonders. |
