Next stop was to view portraits on display at the Powerhouse. The Brisbane Portrait Prize is a new cultural event for Brisbane that showcases the best in contemporary portraiture and celebrates the character of the city and those who make it what it is. The portraits are on display till the end of the month and the free exhibition is well worth a look. |
After the portrait viewing and a coffee at the Powerhouse, we continued on along the river. Sadly the jacaranda trees are not as lush this year due to the dry conditions, but they still put on a show. We met Gloria's new friend, Gerard, who now looks across the River from Teneriffe with his binoculars, then completed our 16 kilometre walk at the Treasury. |
