Once again the weather gods were with us as we headed to Binna Burra and tackled Dave's Creek Circuit, a lengthier walk than any other this year. With cyclonic weather forecast for the next few days, we completed this walk without a drop of rain. We arrived, prepared for a 19 k trek, so it was a delightful surprise to find half way through it was a mere 12 k instead. The track was very muddy in parts, but quite gentle in ascent and decent. Only the odd snake and leech added to the excitement. Everything was very green, wildflowers and fungi provided bursts of colour, and breathtaking views of the valleys and mountains punctuated the walk. |
